J.J. Williams, is a soldier “In The Army of the LORD” at KWWJ-RADIO Gospel 1360AM & 96.9FM.

On a mission to live a life that follows Jesus Christ. J.J.’s purpose in life: is to be a loving Husband to his wife Willane and Glorify GOD. To keep the unity flowing in the Christian community through intercessory prayer, Gospel and inspirational music on the airwaves, preaching, teaching and evangelizing the word of God and fellowshipping with God’s people. J.J. Williams was Born Eric Johnson raised by Marion and Emma Johnson in Evanston, Illinois. Moved to Houston in 1980 for College. He is a 1988 graduate of Texas Southern University. Born Again on October 25, 1998-JJ is an Ordained Deacon and Minister at The Fountain of Praise Church, Pastors Dr. Remus and Mia Wright. Since 1984, J.J. has been a Professional D.J. in the streets and nightclubs of Houston. 

He began his Professional Radio career at Magic 102 FM in 1989. After hearing the call from God, J.J. left Majic 102 after 13 years. Going through many tests and trials, on May 1, 2002, J.J. met General Manager of Gospel 1360, Dr. Darrell E. Martin and was hired to work in radio sales and be the host of “The Afternoon Delight” Monday thru Friday -3pm to 6pm on the station that Keeps Walking With Jesus-KWWJ-Gospel 1360 and 96.9! J.J. enjoys music of all kinds, praising GOD on the air, corporate worship in Church, reading and studying God’s word, listening to great preaching, watching sports, traveling, producing commercials, shopping with his wife. J.J. also enjoys inspiring and motivating people to grow and develop into their purpose. J.J’s favorite scripture is in Proverbs 3:5 and 6 “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not unto your own understanding, in all your ways acknowledge him and He shall direct your path!” Hallelujah!

Dr. Remus E. Wright
Host Pastor

Dr. Remus E. Wright has a tremendous passion for God’s word coupled with a love for God’s people. He has a contagious spirit of generosity that flows through every facet of his ministry. Having received his mandate from God, Pastor Wright, obediently fulfills his calling as Senior Pastor of The Fountain of Praise. Called to ministry in 1983, under the leadership of Bishop Morrie E. Golder, Pastor Wright began his ministry as an evangelist and a singer, sharing the gospel in cities throughout the nation. In 1991, he was called to the pastorate of South Post Oak Baptist Church, a historical beacon in Houston for over forty years.

In 2000, the church adopted the name, The Fountain of Praise, a name that fully characterizes the spirit of the congregation. Pastor Wright has seen the fulfillment of Ephesians 3:20 in his life -”Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us.” Beginning with 150 members in 1991, membership at The Fountain of Praise now exceeds 24,700. In two capacity-filled services each Sunday, Pastor Wright and his anointed leadership team ministers to the needs of the community. With over 100 active ministries, The Fountain of Praise is making a difference in the lives of its parishioners and the community. Pastor Wright an his wife, Co-Pastor Mia Wright, are an anointed duo that God is using to make a change in the lives of people.

His vision is uncompromisingly clear, with one central principle; to build and develop a kingdom of empowered people for God. Holding firmly to the commissioned mandate in Matthew 28:118-20, “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations”, Pastor Wright has taken the gospel into national and international communities of the world. As an active participant in both foreign and local missions, he was instrumental in establishing three churches in Zimbabwe, while supporting The Fountain of Praise in Nigeria, The Fountain of Praise in Cachoeira, Bahia, Brazil and local churches in Houston.

Pastor Wright received his Master of Divinity degree in Biblical Languages from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and his Bachelor of Arts degree in Religious Studies and Business Marketing from Martin Center University in Indianapolis, Indiana. He is an active participant in the Harvard University Summer Leadership Institute Program for Economic Development through which he has been certified as a developer of faith-based community development programs. He has served on the boards of Madison High School Community Relations and the Westland YMCA. Pastor Wright also serves as a Spiritual Advisor to the Fort Bend County Sherriff’s Department, as well as many entertainers and professional athletes.

In April 2007, The Fountain of Praise purchased a 153,000 square foot facility on 14.5 acres that will provide opportunities to grow and develop new ministries, programs and partnerships. The Fountain Life Center, is the second of two campuses that includes the Worship Center on Hillcroft Avenue.
In 2008, Pastor Wright was invited to present at the Oxford Round Table at the University of Oxford in England. His presentation, Hip Hop and The Church: A Clash Between Religion and Secularism? Or An Opportunity to Bridge the Gap sparked thoughtful; discussion among religious leaders from across the globe.
Dr. Wright received his Doctorate of Divinity degree from Martin University in Indianapolis, Indiana in May 2015.
Pastor Wright and his wife Co-Pastor Mia K. Wright, are a dynamic ministry team, they are dedicated servants of God, working together to make The Fountain of Praise -”A Place of Refreshing.”

Dr. R.A. Vernon
Keynote Speaker

Dr. R.A. Vernon is the founder and senior pastor of “The Word Church, the largest and fastest growing church in the history of Cleveland, Ohio and one of the fastest growing churches in the U.S. With thirty years in ministry and two decades in the pastorate, Dr. Vernon has enjoyed a prolific, storied career as a spiritual leader.

Having started with only one service in high school in 2000, The Word Church is now a multisite ministry with ten services and three campuses across Northeastern Ohio- Warrensville Heights, Downtown, and Akron, where The Word Church recently acquired a 265,000 square foot venue with three sanctuaries, dozens of classrooms, and an outreach center.

Dr. Vernon knows the value of mentorship, and founded The Shepherds Connection, an exclusive cadre of some 400 senior pastors around the nation to whom he provides creative leadership, counsel on pastoral matters, and spiritual guidance.
He is the author of four books, The Blessing Behind Closed Doors, Size Does Matter: Moving Your Ministry from Micro to Mega, Dr. R.A. Vernon’s 10 Rules of Dating, and his most recent works, Help! My Pastor’s Under Pressure! How Leaders Can Help Their Pastor Succeed (June 2017), and Dr. R.A. Vernon’s Ten Rules of Dating in the Social Media Age (November 2017).

Dr. Vernon has a Diploma of Theology with a concentration in black church studies, a Master’s in Practical Theology, and a Doctor of Ministry degree with a concentration in church growth, all from Ashland Theological Seminary. He is married to First Lady Victory Vernon and they have five children.
